The JASP team is excited to support four workshops this year (2026). Each of these workshops can be attended either in person (at the University of Amsterdam) or online:
- On Monday August 24th, we organize the workshop “Discovering Statistics using JASP” based on the new textbook by Andy Field, Johnny van Doorn, and EJ Wagenmakers. This workshop is ideal for teachers who want to use the book for their courses, and for students (and others) who wish to improve their general understanding of statistics. - On Tuesday August 25th, we organize the workshop “State-of-the-Art Meta-Analysis using JASP”. This workshop will present both frequentist and Bayesian methods for meta-analysis, and discuss both accepted practice and recent innovations. Hands-on exercises with JASP aim to solidify the ideas and methods that are discussed. Main teacher: František Bartoš. Click here for the workshop website.
- On Wednesday August 26th, we organize the workshop “A Crash Course in Machine Learning with JASP”. This workshop will explain the key concepts of machine learning and take full advantage of the extensive machine learning techniques that are available in JASP. In contrast to machine learning courses that demand coding in R or Python, the JASP GUI allows an immediate focus on understanding the main machine learning techniques (regression, classification, and clustering). Throughout the day, this intuitive understanding will be cemented by practical, hands-on exercises. Main teachers: Don van den Bergh and Koen Derks. Click here for the workshop website.
- On Thursday August 27th and Friday August 28th, we organize the annual workshop “Theory and Practice of Bayesian Hypothesis Testing with JASP”. Main teachers: Richard D. Morey and Eric-Jan Wagenmakers. Click here for the workshop website.
