We are happy to announce that Mátyás Bukva has been awarded the 2025 JASP Contributor Award. As noted on our awards page,
Mátyás has contributed important new functionality to JASP. Specifically, Mátyás added the Plot Builder, which is now prominently featured under the Descriptives tab in the JASP ribbon. The Plot Builder is based on the tidyplots package by Jan Broder Engler, and it allows JASP users to generate elegant, publication-ready figures with ease. Mátyás has been a highly active and productive contributor, and the award acknowledges the extent of his contribution.

The featured image displays one panel of a large, multipanel plot that serves as a nice example of the sort of elegant graphs that the Plot Builder can generate:

We believe that the Plot Builder further raises the bar for the production of clean graphs in stats programs with a graphical user interface. The JASP team is thrilled that Mátyás added this functionality, and we hope that our users take full advantage of the options that this module has to offer!
