We are happy to announce that the JASP team will offer a week of workshops in Amsterdam this summer. In this blogpost we’ll highlight the first of four workshops: “Discovering Statistics Using JASP“. This one-day workshop takes place on Monday August 24th 2026, and it is based on the new textbook by Andy Field, Johnny van Doorn, and EJ Wagenmakers. This workshop is ideal for teachers who want to use the book for their courses, and for students (and others) who wish to improve their general understanding of statistics. No prior experience with statistical techniques or JASP is necessary. This workshop can also be attended online.
The workshop will demonstrate how JASP can be used to explain key statistical concepts such as confidence intervals, standard errors, p-values, and power. In addition, the workshop will feature a speedrun through the textbook, with regular pauses for hands-on exercises. A preliminary program is available on the workshop website.
NB. Sage is offering a 30% discount on the book for students from institutions that have joined or will join the JASP Community.
